Move over Top Golf. Here comes The Goat Ranch, a golf driving range and bar developed by the same folks behind Bowlounge. The 15-bay, netted driving range is dotted with funky targets that “make a loud noise when you hit them.” The bays are made from old shipping containers (trend!) and the bar is full of scotch, whiskey, bourbon and more than 60 draft beers.
Don’t like golf? (phooey on you) You have other options: pool tables, video games, and—duh—giant screen TVs. Drinkertainment central! Bean bag toss, beer pong, and giant Jenga.
The website says: “We’re a bunch a wanna be farmers or ranchers from Dallas that love to play golf, break stuff, and drink beer.”
“We are really excited about the Goat Ranch. It’s going to be a blast,” says Craig Spivey, co-owner and GM. “We’ve got lots to do, but are shooting to open before the State Fair in September.”
The Goat Ranch is located at 723 S. Haskell Ave. (between I-30 and Parry Ave). Call 214-293-3107 if you want to book a party.
