Fireside Pies in Fort Worth Gets a New Name: Thirteen Pies

The Fort Worth location is changing its name to Thirteen Pies. The remaining Fireside Pie restaurants will not get new names. I hear the small chain is for sale. Perhaps even already sold.

fireside74-FINAL-6333There are some changes going on in the world of Fireside Pies. The Fort Worth location is changing its name to Thirteen Pies. The Thirteen Pies concept is already in the process of expanding to other cities and states. Here is the official announcement.

Consilient Restaurants, the DFW based restaurant group, has announced it will change the name of its Fort Worth Fireside Pies to Thirteen Pies, effective August 19, 2014.The name change more accurately aligns with the company’s ambition to grow Thirteen Pies, a chef-driven concept founded on wood-fired pizzas, house-made pasta, and a craft bar featuring eclectic wines in urban markets across the U.S. The first location is in Fort Worth, with an Atlanta restaurant planned for September 2014 and a Houston location slated for Summer 2015. The name Thirteen Pies refers to the brand’s signature 13th pie, a rotating feature on the restaurant’s chalkboard.

The current Fireside Pies locations will not change names. Probably because, from what I hear, the chain is up for sale.
