The annual Dallas Farmers Market Friends hoedown is one of the best foodie events of the year. This year, the 16th Annual Hoedown, A Totally Texas Taste, will take place on Thursday, Nov. 4 at Fair Park’s Food & Fiber Pavilion. The evening highlights the best local chefs, artisans, and entertainment and benefits the Dallas Farmers Market.

Dallas Farmers Market Announces 16th Annual Hoedown, A Totally Texas Taste
Gary Cogill named as Honorary Chairperson; special guest entertainment by Eleven Hundred Springs

The Dallas Farmers Market Friends (DFMF) announces the 16th Annual Hoedown, A Totally Texas Taste to be held on Thursday, November 4 at Fair Park’s Food & Fiber Pavilion. The annual fundraiser benefits the Dallas Farmers Market and highlights the best of local food from Dallas’ top restaurants, Texas’ best wines and foods from local producers.

Gary Cogill, awarding-winning film critic for WFAA-TV and nationally recognized television and radio personality, will serve as Honorary Chairperson. Texas country music band Eleven Hundred Springs will perform and auctions will feature plates designed and painted by local celebrity chefs, local art, vacation packages and more.

The Dallas Farmers Market Friends, a volunteer organization, was founded in 1991 by Ida Papert and her foodie friends to support the Dallas Farmers Market and its farmers. Through charitable and civic works, the DFMF is driven to promote and expand community awareness and utilization of the Dallas Farmers Market and raise funds for the preservation, promotion, and redevelopment of the Dallas Farmers Market.
