Popular sushi chef Shuji “Elvis” Sugawara was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in late March. He is out of the hospital and back at work. Shinsei’s co-owners Lynae Fearing and Tracy Rathbun, are hosting a benefit bash to help with Elvis’ medical bills.
Here’s the deal: “Viva La Elvis” will take place at Shinsei on May 23 from 6-9:00 PM. The cost is $50 and that includes food and booze. They are also looking for silent auction item donations.
