How many pool parties have you been to this summer where the host or hostess put out a tired old plate of orange cheddar “garnished” with fruit and poured you an overly oaked California Chardonnay? (You don’t really have to answer, it’s just a rhetorical question and a poor attempt to segue into a press release.) Anywhoo, now that we’ve established we’re tired of wine and cheese, I’m here to tell you about a beer and cheese tasting. The fund raising bash–“Unite for a Bite: Women Who Inspire!”–will take place on August 7, from 6:30-8:30pm at Paula Lambert’s The Mozzarella Company. The event is taking place in cities all over the U.S. and raising funds for Women, Chefs, & Restaurateurs. I’ll be there by 6:45. Join me and I’ll post your picture on SideDish. Call. Now. 214-741-4072.
