Do you like to home ogle? Do you like driving by houses and thinking to yourself, “I’ve been in there. Their indoor hot tub was quite appealing”? Do you actually need to find a new home to live in? Every other week, we scout out three open houses in three different neighborhoods that look well worth the trip.

ranhcita

15901 Ranchita Drive | Open Sunday, May 24 from 12 – 2pm

The Neighborhood: Prestonwood

The Price: $899,000

Why It Looks Cool: Normally I like to pick homes that are staged because they’re a bit more interesting, but 15901 Ranchita Drive manages to have a lot of character despite its bare interior. The scenic water views don’t hurt either. With beautiful hand scraped hardwoods, a redonculous kitchen (yeah, I said redonculous), and plenty of windows with which to enjoy said scenic water views, this traditional house is a perfect little Prestonwood retreat.

del roy 3

5515 Del Roy Drive | Open Sunday, May 24 from 1 – 3pm

The Neighborhood: Preston Hollow

The Price: $1,850,000

Why It Looks Cool: This elegant French-inspired home’s clean lines, lavish finishes, and impeccably manicured backyard make it far too pretty to miss. It looks like a little slice of wedding cake both inside and out. I also believe you could probably eat wedding cake (or any cake) off of the immaculate floors in 5515 Del Roy. I’m not suggesting you go out of your way to do so, but it’s nice to have options.

masland3

55 Masland Circle | Open Sunday, May 24 from 2 – 4pm

The Neighborhood: North Dallas

The Price: $1,179,000

Why It Looks Cool: This cool contemporary home looks bright, airy, and gorgeously maintained throughout. Sure, you may not have scenic water views, but you have a stunning pool and brand new landscaping to admire from behind your towering windows. Also, with a craft room, a media room, and a large patio area, there’s plenty of room for activities!
