While many of Dallas’ shoppers are squeezing in one more vacation before school starts, these stores are getting a little work done. Here’s a list of what’s under construction, when it’ll be open again, and what’s going to be new.

HESS: The interior design store will be combining spaces and forces with neighbor Talulah Belle through tearing down the 15 feet of wall between them and creating a central checkout. The new store will be a one-stop-shop for you, your home, and gifts for that special someone in your life. They will be closed August 4, and hopefully reopen August 8.

The Nasher Gift Shop: One of our favorite little gift shops isn’t expanding—just getting new paint and floors. You can expect it to be back open by this Friday, August 8.

Hermes: Highland Park Village’s French boutique will be in a temporary space (formerly Williams-Sonoma) until November of 2015. In the mean time, they’re installing a 2nd floor on the space across from Patrizio’s, which will house an expanded interiors collection.

Grange Hall: While we have known for a while that Grange Hall was adding on a restaurant to their Knox-Henderson shop, we finally have word that Chef Chad Martin will be in charge of the eats. The new space, which has not yet been given an opening date, will accommodate 50 guests, as well as more retail space.
