Chi Omega Christmas Market Kicks Off Tonight

I know some of you out there have already started your Christmas shopping. That makes me jealous. And anxious. But, I’m hoping to start checking off some of the names on my list at this weekend’s Chi Omega Christmas Market. More than 150 vendors set up shop at the Centennial Hall at Fair Park to sell their wares including items like holiday decor, home accessories, children’s clothing and toys, and food gifts.

The shopping mecca opens tonight for the Advance Sale and Preview Party from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. If you’re serious about seeing the goods first, the ticket will cost you $75 at the door. You’ll be treated to appetizers, cocktails, and tunes by DJ Lucy Wrubel. Tomorrow, beat the weekend crowd and head over to the First Call Sale from 9:30am-1:00pm. The $25 ticket gains you entry for the entire weekend, too. Or, if you’re like me and you have to get your shopping done on the weekends head over on Friday and Saturday during general admission hours for a cool $15. For hours and more information, check out their website.

While you’re shopping, throw in a few extra goods in your bag. After all, it’s in the name of charity, right? This year’s beneficiaries include Contact Crisis Line, Friend’s of Wednesday’s Child, Genesis Women’s Shelter, Make-A-Wish, Night Owls, I Stand for Parkland, Readers 2 Leaders, Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, and Taylor’s Gift.
