I asked Jan Showers to name five things that she would like to have right now. Call it spring renewal, getting ready for summer, or just finding cool new things to make life more enjoyable. She came up with a few that would make anyone’s mouth water. Her cool, understated glamour always shines through. Here’s what she had to say: “The lucite tray from Me & Re is a perfect gift—fun patterns and custom monogramming. My daughter gave me one with a Greek key pattern for Mother’s Day that I use all the time. The Chanel Resort Show by Karl Lagerfeld that previewed at Hotel du Cap in Antibes is stunning. I crave this flowy Oriental inspired sheath for summer. Kyle Bunting makes amazing rugs from pieced together cow hides, and I designed one called “Moonglow” that has just perfect slight shifts in color. I love the look of pearwood when it is used with brass as in the Pippa Console from Hermes. It has the most wonderful warm glow. Last, I have to include one piece from my furniture collection at David Sutherland Showroom.
