I recently made a trip to the gift shop at the National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame in Fort Worth. Aside from being totally adorable, the fun Western wares (everything from napkins, plates, welcome mats, and cigar store Indians) made me want to make my home on the range. It’s fortuitous then that my friend Suzanne emailed me about the 505 Cedar Creek Ranch Club, a luxurious place where I can buy a house on Cedar Creek Lake in Mabank. All I need is to write a book, get it published, and force many, many, many people to buy it so that I can get one of the 56 waterfront lots (all more than an acre, by the way). In the meantime, if you fancy the idea waterfront ranching with amenities like 24-hour ranch staff, riding arena, polo fields, stables, and hiking trails, maybe you should check it out, too.
