You May Not Be Able to See Tomorrow’s Sold Out xx Show at the Granada, But You Can Still Hear It…

This is either a really excellent consolation prize, or perhaps longing-fueled emotional torture, but if you didn't get tickets to tomorrow night's xx show at the Granada, you can hear a live broadcast of the performance on Sirius XMU.

This is either a really excellent consolation prize, or perhaps longing-fueled emotional torture, but if you didn’t get tickets to tomorrow night’s xx show at the Granada, you can hear a live broadcast of the performance on Sirius XMU. The music will be blasting from speakers on the rooftop of the Sundown, as well as inside the actual restaurant.

This is actually a novel idea, and it reminds me of the multiple times I could not get into Stubb’s when I lived in Austin, and instead would just meet some friends and huddle by the perimeter fence of the outdoor venue to hear everything perfectly. It also beats the heck out of an audio-free show review by some graying critic the morning after, but why on earth would you read that?

As with any sell-out event of this caliber, there is always an after-party, and DJ Trademarx will finish out the evening at Sundown. This all sounds far preferable to paying 275 bucks for a pair of tickets (and up), but you could always go for free. You just have to “be cute.”
