Thumbs Down to Texas Rangers owner Eddie Chiles for forgetting, as usual, that it’s the fans who help keep the Rangers in business, not just him. Chiles came under heavy fire in May when he hired coach Bobby Valentine and tired coach Doug Rader-in that order-without so much as a hint as to what was going on. Ranger fans were insulted when Chiles was quoted as saying it was nobody else’s business how he runs his team. That’s fine, Eddie, but a fan’s blind faith ends where the price of a Ranger ticket begins.
