DALLAS City of Winners

|

The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center has been designed through the cooperation of . architect I.M. Pei and acoustician Russell Johnson to be a unique facility for performances of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. While completely modern in its exterior design, the edifice contains the 2.200 seat Eugene McDermott Concert Hall, an intimate music chamber reminiscent of the century-old European-style music rooms.

The music chamber, the grand stairways, the foyers, and the box office are all encompassed within gently sloping glass lenses created by I.M. Pei for the express purpose of permitting concertgoers the opportunity’ to view the activities of the Dallas Arts District and, in reverse, allowing passers-by the opportunity to view life within the Symphony Center.

The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in the Dallas Arts Distinct will be a superb home for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
