AIN’T NO PARTY LIKE A PRISON BREAK PARTY

|

I’ve always thought a party isn’t really a party without a few on-the-lam prisoners to liven things up. Following said credo, the bash I attended last night was indeed a party.

To celebrate next Monday’s premiere of the second season of Prison Break–which has been filming in Dallas over the last several months–the cast and crew of the show, along with several hundred partygoers, gathered at a little out-of-the-way place called Ghostbar. You may have heard of it. More of the goings-on after the jump.

Though the back room was reserved solely for what has to be the best-named cast on TV, most of them seemed perfectly happy mingling with us regular folk.

In attendance was the show’s breakout star–Get it? Breakout?–Wentworth Miller, being all elusive and attention-shy and so good looking that it seemed dangerous to stare directly at him. His onscreen brother, Dominic Purcell, was extremely gracious, posing for pictures with every single person who asked. Being the clever and original girl that I am, I asked him what he thought of Dallas for what was probably the 1,000th time that night. For the 1,000th time that night, he answered, “It’s hot.”

The friendliest of the bunch, Puerto Rico native Amaury Nolasco, was cool and casual in flip-flops out on the windy 33rd-floor patio. Hometown boy Lane Garrison, who hails from Richardson and will be featured in the upcoming September print edition of FrontBurner, played host for the E! cameras that followed him around most of the night. He was l-o-v-i-n-g the attention and proudly bragged to me that he does all his own stunts, which he even brought over the show’s stunt coordinator to confirm. Not to be outdone, Rockmond Dunbar sported an oversized skull belt buckle and a glamazon date that could have passed for a Pussycat Doll.

Hey, my date Alexis, who, for those of you who are curious, still hasn’t heard from her hit-and-run mystery man, was just as–Tim, what was the word? Statuesque? And she didn’t need any big, fancy belt buckles. Just a ride.
