Institutional racism noun. 1. A system in which discriminatory patterns are inseparable from the normal workings of government, schools, churches, etc. 2. An intensifier of the outworn racism. 3. In its ever-broadening modern sense, a vague, all-purpose explanation of any disparity between Anglo and minority citizens.
