The News already reported that Parkland will bill Mexico for the care of its citizens. According to the News Connection in Highland Village, Parkland is also going after surrounding counties that take advantage of Dallas’ free medical care: Dallas County commissioners are sending a bill for $2.7 million to Denton County for the treatment of 806 patients. There’s no law requiring Denton to pay, but the point is being made–and maybe the usually somnambulant Dallas delegation will wake up and get the Legislature to pass one.
