A new Dallas-based blog dedicated to classical music and the arts launched this month featuring music webcasts, interviews with local and travelling artists and musicians, as well as a listing of events. ClassicalTexas.com is run by veteran journalist Laurel Ornish, who serves as blogger, webcast announcer, and interviewer. Ornish was a former announcer for WRR-FM/Classical 101.1 and has spent much of the last few years writing about the arts for local media. The site will be featured as one of only 50 Internet radio sites available on the Palm Treo, which Ornish said is expected to launch in several months.
