As a kiddo, I can remember watching Cowboys games at my grandfather’s house. He couldn’t stand the TV announcers, so he’d turn the sound down and instead listen to the radio broadcast.
Now that Charlie Waters will be the radio analyst, I plan to wach every game this season Grandpa-style. Brad Sham is excellent. Goes without saying. But Waters’ wit, knowledge of the game, boyish giggle, and Bill Clinton-by-way-of-Georgia accent will make for great broadcasts. I don’t recall his previous stints with Sham (the ’79 season, part of ’84). I’m sure some loyal FBvians do.
