A box of Tiff’s Treats and a press packet for jewelry line Sensibly Selfish hit my desk yesterday. It was delicious. The jewels, too, I mean. Inside the folder, I devoured a booklet of hand-crafted metal, chain, wood, and fabric, necklaces, bracelets, and rings with trendy gems, like agates, pyrite, hematite, and freshwater pearls. Traditional and untraditional materials are paired together and draped in layers, reminiscent of jewelry from decades gone by but fast-forwarded to modern with the addition of spikes, recycled parts, and reversible wearability (like the far left chain above). The designer Kristin Miller has been selling her wares on Etsy, but this fall marks the first season you’ll find her goods in local retailers. Based on my immediate attraction to the fall/winter Satis House collection lookbook, I’m unsurprised to find pieces have been picked up by Elements, The Gypsy Wagon, and Talulah Belle, three boutiques I adore. ETA on the line hitting stores is TBA, but in the meantime, you can cruise the Etsy shop and check out funky finds from previous collections like the pyrite on gold triangle earrings or this quicksand pendant on gold and cord necklace.
