Lombardi Family Concepts’ patriarch and leader Alberto Lombardi has announced big plans ahead for the restaurant group, which includes Bistro 31, Lounge 31, Taverna, Toulouse, Sangria and Lombardi Catering.  The most immediate change being the addition of notable chef and restaurateur Avner Samuel as a menu consultant, while the brand also prepares for a steady phase of growth.

Just three weeks ago, Andrew Bell resigned from his post as the executive chef at Bolsa to join Avner at LFC and rework the menu at Bistro 31. Bell and Samuel have worked together at Samuel’s Aurora and Nosh Euro Bistro. Bell has been in his new position for barely two weeks.

LFC’s public relations rep, Lauren Millet, confirms the move.

Avner was hired to consult on Bistro 31. The consultation is up now, so he is no longer working with Lombardi Family Concepts.

I can’t help but wonder if Bell is happy about that.
