What do they do for a living now that the National Do Not Call List bars calls to the best prospects, i.e., those intelligent enough to put their names on the list? Simple: they go to organizations that are exempt from the provisions of the law, such as charities like the Preston North Lions Club, on whose behalf some nice lady called me two nights ago. I told her to remove me from her call list, which she said she would do. That’s good, because if she doesn’t, according to the law I just read, the Preston North Lions will be fined $11,000.
