It was the darnedest thing. Yesterday afternoon, my wife and I were driving around Lake Highlands, just driving around, sort of looking for houses, but mostly just driving around. We end up on Eagle, just off of White Rock Trail. There, in the front yard of a cute house that wasn’t for sale, were about a dozen peacocks. Most of them were brown peacocks, a couple were white peacocks, and a few of them were peacock-colored peacocks. My wife and a coworker were more curious than I. They called the Arboretum to see if they were missing any. Nope. Both of their peacocks were present and accounted for. Maybe someone has pet peacocks and lets them run rampant. Who knows? (Seriously, Who knows? I’m not asking rhetorically. Anyone know anything?)
