SPEAKING OF EXCITING THINGS IN THE HOPPER

|

Tomorrow at 10 a.m. something wonderful is happening! Officials from Fort Worth and Dallas will unveil a “New National Tourism Marketing Initiative”! Laura Miller; Fort Worth City Councilmember Wendy Davis; Phillip Jones, president of the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau; and Douglas Harman, president of the FW Convention & Visitors Bureau will announce “an unprecedented, national and international perception-changing initiative.”

I have two things to say about that: 1) barf. You want to change perception? Announce a tax hike to hire more cops, get the crime down, and boot all the corrupt yahoos off the Plan Commission. 2) From what I hear, if Phillip Jones weren’t speaking at the shindig tomorrow, he’d call and ask for a free ticket. The guy likes him some free tickets. IJS.
