I’d never heard of Peskin. But he was Sports Illustrated‘s first staff photographer, and he took some of the most well-known sports images of the ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s. Unless I missed it, the News hasn’t run an obit on him yet. Peskin had a part-time residence in Plano; his second wife still lives there.
