“Top city officials” are headed up to D.C. to try to hammer out a deal with Forest City. Dave Levinthal has the story. To be honest, I’m not too surprised. I heard a rumor that the whole “the Merc is falling, the Merc is falling” might be posturing. Think about how much of a hero Mayor Miller would look like if, on the brink of disaster, she pulls the deal through. It’d be too good to be true, wouldn’t it?
