Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 239 new COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths. 


Texas restaurants can now sell alcohol to-go indefinitely thanks to a new law signed by Gov. Greg Abbot. The effort was designed to help struggling Texas restaurants recoup sales during the coronavirus pandemic affording restaurants a new stream of revenue. The Dallas Morning News has more on the new law. 


The CDC has accepted the U.S advisor’s recommendation to start vaccinating children 12 and up, according to WFAA. The conclusion from the CDC was that the shots will let kids safely attend camps this summer and help assure a more normal return to classrooms next school year. 


The Biden Administration announced Tuesday that ride-sharing services Uber and Lyft will now begin offering free rides for those going to COVID-19 vaccination sites. The program is part of Biden’s additional efforts to reach his goal of 0 percent of the adult population partially vaccinated by July 4.
