Starting Monday, Dallas County will launch two vaccination sites in southern Dallas County, at Ellis Davis Fieldhouse and Eastfield Community College. They will receive the allotment of vaccines destined for Parkland Hospital, and the two sites will give out 2,000 vaccines a day. WFAA has more.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 2,427 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, with 17 deaths. For the third day in a row, the county set a new record for hospitalizations. “It is more important than ever that we use the proven facts that will keep us safe until the vaccine can be broadly administered,” he tweeted.

As Dallas County COVID-19 hospitalizations peaked, the state of Texas added 30,000 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, which nearly broke the record set one week before, the Dallas Morning News reports.
