Real Housewives of Dallas Premieres. The ladies have returned. I thought the first episode of the second season showed better editing, and the two new cast members who have real money, D’Andra Simmons and Kameron Westcott, are good additions. Kameron, in particular, is very irritating. Alice Laussade will be along in a bit with a recap of the show.

Cops Shortage for State Fair. The Fair starts September 29, and it looks like the struggles at the Dallas Police Department will make it harder for Big Tex to staff up his security detail. This hiccup has also shed light on the sweetheart deal that the Fair has gotten in years past when it comes to paying the DPD for cops.

Dallas City Council Looks at New Streetcar Routes. The prolix Mobility Solutions, Infrastructure and Sustainability Committee got briefed yesterday on four new possible downtown streetcar routes. A vote from the full City Council is still a ways off.

Anti-White Supremacy Rally Planned This Weekend. A group called In Solidarity plans to hold a rally Saturday at City Hall against Confederate monuments and white supremacy. What could go wrong?
