It started when I learned that T.C. Broadnax would be our next city manager, replacing A.C. Gonzalez. From one two-initialled city manager to another. Then, because this is how my brain works, I found myself marveling at the fact that once upon a time Dallas had three consecutive two-initialled mayors: J.M. Thurmond (1879–1880), J.J. Good (1880–1881), and J.W. Crowdus (1881–1883). That’s when I started going a little crazy. In an effort to infect everyone else with this two initials thing, I turned to Twitter and Facebook for suggestions. Here, then, is the most comprehensive list of two-initialled Dallasites ever compiled in the history of ever. This is a living document. Suggestions in the comments will be added to the list as needed. In no particular order:

B.J. Austin
