Traveling artists Souther Salazar and Monica Choy (aka The Trading Tortoise) make a stop at Oil and Cotton tonight from 6:30-8:30. Visitors can bring a meaningful object, story, or creation to their tortoise-shape trading post to exchange for something else special that Salazar and Choy have found or traded for along the way.
The project is designed to, “connect people in different places in America, through a network of traded treasures and a mutual love of giving and receiving in a non-monetary exchange.”
The girlies have been carefully pondering what to trade since last night.
