When I Went: May 3-7
Was That the Best Time of Year to Go? Vancouver is beautiful any time of year, but I especially love RIGHT NOW. It’s warm and sunny and a bit chilly at night–perfect time to escape this Texas heat!
Why I Went There: I went for work. I work for a movie production company, and I was responsible for putting together our final wrap party for cast and crew. It was definitely a working vacay, but equally as enjoyable!
Who Went With Me? I traveled with my boss and his wife and some of the investors in the film. I did get to bring my best girl friend and blamed it on marketing!

We Stayed Here: Four Seasons Vancouver
You Won’t Want to Miss: They shouldn’t miss the harbor in downtown Vancouver, or the Seawall. We biked Stanley Park, which was gorgeous and ate lunch at Cardero’s on the water. Everyone walks everywhere, so be sure to bring some casual shoes for all the walking! While walking the harbor we watched water planes land and take off and the crusise ships dock and unload. The views are breathtaking; you’ve got the ocean, mountains, and a lush green park with giant trees.
Eat Here: They should eat at Cardero’s, The Fish House, and Cactus Club (the one by Olympic torch. There is a really great patio restaurant called Joe’s Forte–upscale and delicious!
Play Here: You should definitely make time to bike Stanley Park. You could drive an hour to go up to Whistler–the drive up was gorgeous alone. Just wait until you get up there and walk around. There is also a suspension bridge for the daredevil that is suspended in the trees. Very Cool!
If I Went Again: I felt like I crammed everything into my five-day trip, so I would extend my vacation so I wouldn’t be so rushed!

Other Tips For Fellow Travelers: I think I covered most everything that I know thus far about Vancouver! I hope to make the trip back again sometime!
