After reading this post on Jezebel today, my friend and boss Christine and I discussed “magazining.” Listen, I love the Internet more than anyone else on earth, but for me there’s no contest: I love magazines. I love cutting things out for other people to read, I love trading trashy magazines with friends, I love clipping articles that inspire me either visually or to become a better writer. These are things that the Internet can’t do–especially, I submit, when it comes to pretty shelter magazines. Is this just because I work at D Home? Maybe. But I have no interest in sitting by the pool with a laptop, thanks very much.
