3-B Produce is sold at the Central Market on Lovers Lane. You will find a small frozen area containing all 3-B products directly inside the produce area. Coming out of Bedford, Texas the company brings in black eyed peas, purple hull peas, cream peas, lima beans, Italian green beans and cut okra. Their entire stock is fresh and ready to cook.
The purple hull peas are my favorite because they are a southern pea and not as easy to find. The best way to prepare them is to add the purple hull peas to a large pot of water, bring to a boil over high heat, and add okra (if preferred). Reduce heat to medium-low, add bacon, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer until tender, approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
There isn’t much in the area of social media for 3-B Produce, but like I said, you can find all of their products at Central Market off of Lovers in 1.5 lb packages for $5.99.
