Popular East Dallas restaurant and beer garden, Goodfriend, is freshening things up as it approaches its third year of business. Owners Matt Tobin and Josh Yingling have worked with chef Eric Salome (formerly of the Omni Hotel) on a new menu. New items include a cheeseboard — featuring rotating cheeses from Scardello — served with pickled vegetables and bread, house-made hummus, seasonal salad, and a handful of new burgers (highlights include a lamb burger topped with tzatziki sauce and a chili burger). There are also a handful of new craft cocktails, and updated beer and wine options. You can view the full menu here.
