Hello out there. Today is Tuesday, and here we are. I’m sending you internet kisses, so grab those bootstraps and pucker up. At any rate, you all know Outpost American Tavern. I’ve even written about it before, remember? It’s cool and now it’s offering a small, yet creative brunch menu outfitted with cocktails and gravy. The chicken fried biscuit comes in a hefty portion: loads of house-made biscuits and sausage gravy with battered, fried chicken on top. On the side is a thick, potato/hash brown doohickey. The Outpost also has Johnny cakes, which are crispy corn cakes topped with pulled pork, candied bacon, and smoked maple syrup with a little paprika butter for dipping. For that sweet mouth of yours, there’s also a Nutella stuffed French toast with a caramelized banana, citrus mascarpone, and hazelnuts. Here’s some food porn for a little pick-me-up this morning. I love you… kinda.
