I’m not a big fan of anything outside right now—but I will make exception for the Statuesque exhibition currently outside in the Nasher Sculpture Garden. This exception is made because a) the sculpture garden is so beautifully shaded that it’s almost like being inside; b) this “Lumpy Figure” by Thomas Houseago looks like how I feel in the summer heat; and c) the exhibit returns to the Lower Manhattan City Park on August 21 so chances are it isn’t going to get any cooler around here.
