Six coworking spaces are offering free workspace to those that have been displaced from their downtown offices due to the police activity surrounding Thursday evening’s shootings.

GeniusDen and Common Desk in Deep Ellum, Fort Work and KoWork downtown, NoD in North Dallas, and The Mix Coworking in East Dallas are providing open seating, free Wi-Fi, conference space, and coffee Friday and Monday. Affected workers can show up and request space, no questions asked.

The shootings, which centered around El Centro College, have blocked off the areas of downtown Dallas between Houston and Griffin streets and Ross Avenue and Jackson Street. Buildings within that area have been shut down while police investigate the crime scene.

Dallas Police Department has sectioned off part of downtown as it investigates Thursday's shootings.
