Things To Do In Dallas Tonight: Dec. 2

I was thinking about things I'd hypothetically be thankful for this weekend, and a Pitbull-less "Timber" came to mind.

Carol has happy news for your post-holiday Monday: a ramen shop in Sylvan|Thirty, courtesy of Tei An’s Teiichi Sakurai.

I’ve never attended a Jingle Ball, mainly because I didn’t even see my first concert until I was a senior in high school, but if you’re a fan of what’s happening on the radio right now than you can’t really go too far wrong with tonight’s show at the American Airlines Center.  Pop music’s brightest and fastest-rising stars, such as Ariana Grande, Robin Thicke, Flo Rida, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Derulo, and One Republic, will be there. One dollar from each ticket purchase benefits the Kidd’s Kids program within the Kraddick Foundation, a nonprofit started by syndicated morning show host Kidd Kraddick. Kraddick died suddenly earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the New Collection jazz group has a performance at the Kessler Theater in Oak Cliff. Though still mostly a cappella, this show boasts a brand new rhythm section. I’d say go to Nova for dinner because it’s seriously right there and often too easy to pass up, but I’m on a little bit of a Nova hiatus after almost witnessing a massive fight there last Tuesday night. I can’t have that sort of tension in my life right now. I haven’t had a chance to go to Bolsa since the chef-menu changes, so it’s a good time to give that a try anyway.
