Thumbs Up to the Dallas City Plan Commission for recommending that six Dallas developers cough up either land or money for the privilege of being allowed to build office towers in traffic-choked North Dallas. The decision, in our opinion, marks a significant turning point in the city’s relationship with developers. For once, the City Plan Commission sent a tough message: developers will no longer be able to ignore the negative impact their projects have on quality of life in Dallas. Although it could cost some of them millions of dollars, so far none of the developers has balked at the recommendations.
