I just finished reading Paul Salopek’s amazing oil story in the Chicago Tribune. Salopek has won the Pulitzer twice. He spent many months tracking the flow of crude oil from the ground in places like Venezuela to a specific gas station in Chicago, something that oil executives said was impossible. If you’re interested in peak oil theory, or even if you just drive a car, his report “A Tank of Gas, A World of Trouble,” is not to be missed. Amazing stuff.
