Harry Winston, the Fifth Avenue jeweler, has leased space in Highland Park Village next to Hermes and the new William Noble space. That Bill Noble has gone retail (his space used to be on an office floor in the center) is news in itself. But that Harry Winston is back in Dallas is a sign of a boom economy. The plaque outside the Fifth Avenue store once read: “Harry Winston. Dallas. London. Paris.” Dallas was dropped when, I think, Dubai and Tokyo were added. I don’t care so much about their opening a store. I just want our name back on that plaque.
