BURGER ETIQUETTE

|

As an observation about grumpy hamburger vendors, let me offer this: in the days before he sold his legendary hamburger joint on Lovers Lane, Goff’s, irrascible owner Harvey Gough sold an average of 150 burgers per day. Under new owner Jimmy Francis–who is super friendly and eager to please–the average number of burgers sold during the first few months rose to almost 600, settling back to an average of around 400 per day. This using the same menu and same staff. What a difference a little courtesy makes!
