Friday, following CityLights! (the holiday celebration including the lighting of downtown holiday displays and the unveiling of the Neiman Marcus holiday windows), the Dallas Fashion Incubator will unveil the top emerging designers in Dallas, whose collections will be carried in the Main location for the next year. DALLAS–November 14, 2005–Dallas Fashion Incubator, the leading organization mentoring fashion talent, today announced the list of top emerging designers in Dallas. These designers will be sponsored by the Incubator for the next year as they take designs from concept to marketplace.

A cocktail party will fete the designers on Friday, November 18 at the Incubator store, 1623 Main Street. The fashionable celebration begins at 7:30 p.m. following CityLights!, the holiday celebration including the lighting of downtown holiday displays and the unveiling of the Neiman Marcus holiday windows.

The new Incubator designers are: Nan Ducote, Donna Cameron, Leah Gormly, Erin Braxton, Doug Voisin and Andrew Bayer. Full biographies and photos are available.

Over the next year, The Incubator will help the designers take their designs to market and promote their collections in wholesale and retail locations across the country.

“Helping select Dallas’ top new design talent for the program was a thrill,” said Leslie Carpenter, designer and founder of the Incubator. “This year’s designers are extremely creative, savvy and motivated. We welcome them to the Incubator.”

Since its inception, the Dallas Fashion Incubator has mentored dozens of prospective and emerging designers. Educational opportunities include technical, financial, and manufacturing seminars. Industry leaders teach the curriculum provided. The designers selected benefit from the project’s educational, retail and financial opportunities to turn their business dreams into a reality.
