Yes. Keller, Texas. Verizon unveiled a new type of TV today that only works in Keller (so far). It’s called FiOS TV. Keller is wired with fiber optic cable that makes it possible. Keller FiOS folk will get 20 high-def channels, video on demand, and all sorts of cool stuff. And they’ll get it cheaply.
Too bad for Verizon they decided to unveil this thing just as the third-most-powerful hurricane in recorded history is bearing down on the Texas coast. I don’t think FiOS will lead the news tonight.
