Thumbs Up to John Polk, director of the attorney general’s child support office in Fort Worth, and Precinct 5 Constable Jim Palmer for their participation in Project Round Up, a program aimed at locating 150 repeat delinquent child-support payers in Tarrant County. The program, launched by Attorney General Jim Mattox, led to the arrest of 39 Tarrant County parents. Polk, who says delinquent payers are extremely difficult to find, plans to continue the campaign to locate non-payers, who, if caught, could spend as many as 180 days in jail.
