Inside, the dramatic glamour continues thanks to a new remodel by designer Amy Berry. An arched doorway leads the way to a library, with royal blue lacquered walls and built-ins beckoning for book collections. In a dining room, banana leaf wallpaper adds a touch of old Hollywood. Another parlor, masculine and refined, offers eye-catching black built-ins and a charming arched fireplace with herringbone brick. The kitchen features a marble waterfall center island and a walk-in pantry with a glass door to showcase the dry goods within. Standout pendant lights and chandeliers tie the home together, from a sculptural black-and-gold creation in a living room to a sunburst Lucite pendant above a dining table.
All four bedrooms are upstairs, and large windows showcase the rustling leaves of the treetops outside. Our favorite room might be a stylish upstairs children’s space, which is elegant beyond expectations. The ultimate sleepover spot includes a full-sized bed, two built-in bunks, and a loft (complete with actual staircases–no ladders here).
Head to the backyard to marvel at a fountain-flanked pool and patio. The landscaping here (rows of cacti and climbing ivy) echoes the home itself: a little slice of England that feels right at home in Texas.
