I’ve never made it to a Make Shop & Studio class, but it’s definitely on my list. The barware-etching class coming up on June 18 looks particularly interesting. Students have three choices of glassware (martini glasses, wine glasses, or beer pints) that they will learn to etch using an acid solution that creates permanent designs. You can bring a design to class, create one while you’re there, or use one of the studio’s. The cost is $54, and you must register 48 hours in advance. Other upcoming classes include hand embroidery, aprons, and screen printing.
