The National Business Group on Health ranked Texas Health Resources among its annual Best Employers for Health Lifestyles list, the fifth such time the Tarrant County-based system has made the list.

THR won the Gold recognition for its ‘Be Healthy’ workplace wellness program, which offers employees $225 annually for participating. The hospital system offers tobacco cessation programs, fitness centers, health fairs, fitness challenges, maternity support, lifestyle coaching, diabetes education, nutrition classes, and more.

“For more than 10 years, our Be Healthy wellness program has helped our valued employees live a healthy lifestyle,” said Carla Dawson, Texas Health’s vice president of Total Health and Total Rewards, in a statement. “We are exceedingly proud of the depth and success of this program. We celebrate this prestigious national recognition of our efforts to support the health and well-being of our employees as they care for the patients of North Texas.”

Sixty-three other companies were recognized by the National Business Group on Health, the lone nonprofit organization of large employers in America that is solely focused on improving health in the workplace.
