Hello, I would like to share with you the terrible sad news that The Book of Mormon is sold out. Completely. You can’t say I didn’t warn you.

And now you must take your chances on the pre-show lottery. Show up two and half hours before curtain, and put your name in the hat. The tickets will be $25 each, if you win. I recommend trying for this on non-weekend nights, such as this evening. Your chances might be slightly higher.

If you prefer a more solid set of plans, the Dallas Center for Architecture hosts a conversation about architecture and education. A recent issue of the architecture magazine Columns (heh) examined the future of the industry from a variety of academic angles, with the question “Does architecture really matter?” in mind. The editor of the magazine will moderate a conversation with UNT design research center director Keith Owens, dean of UTA’s School of Architecture Don Gatzke, and American Society of Landscape Artist member Kevin Sloan about their articles and the challenges architecture faces.

Elsewhere, opera fans can catch the final showing of Teatro alla Scala’s production of La Traviata at the Angelika Dallas. It’s one of those high-def recordings of a live production. The tragic tale of a courtesan who risks everything for true is also three acts long. So maybe eat something before. I’ve never been one of those people who match their cuisine to their activity, so why not get tacos? Urban Taco‘s right in Mockingbird Station.
