Stream CEO Robert Snyder No-Billed by Grand Jury

|

Readers of the print version of FrontBurner will remember Rob Snyder from this story I wrote about him and his company back in March 2006. As I said in that article, Rob’s a friend. Anyone who knows him would find it impossible to believe that he sexually molested his 5-year-old daughter. So when he was arrested in March of this year on charges of having done just that, it seemed it would only be a matter of time before a grand jury no-billed him. That happened Friday.

The real question here for both the DPD and the D.A.’s office is how Rob Snyder ever got arrested in the first place. A cursory look at the events leading up to the ridiculous allegations should have revealed that those accusations did not arise organically. Rob is involved in a horrendously messy divorce, the details of which would be comical if they didn’t involve children. For instance, it seems his ex was still married to someone else when she tied the knot with Rob. It also seems pretty clear that the maneuvers relating to this divorce mess led to the whole criminal process against Rob.

The worst part is that Rob has been prevented from seeing his kids since early this year. They’ve been interviewed multiple times by authorities and forced to discuss very ugly, very adult matters. Rob will get over this. His kids, though? We can only hope.

One final note. When Rob was arrested, Brad Watson, spurred by his ex’s advisors, did the story for Channel 8. I’m sure he’ll do a follow-up on the exoneration. Right, Brad?

Update: A tip o’ the hat to Watson.
